Round Hill Vineyards

Founded in 1977 by Ernie & Virginia Van Asperen, the Round Hill Family of Wines encompasses three fine California wine brands; Round Hill, Rutherford Ranch and Van Asperen. Originally housed in a revived ghost winery on Lodi Lane, the present California style redwood structure was built in 1987. It hugs the Silverado Trail at Conn Creek, which traverses the property where mature oaks, an informal home grown garden and an ancient olive grove mingle to create an atmosphere of peace and beauty.

The Estate vineyards cover 210 acres on St. Helena’s western ridge with 57 acres planted to Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to the home vineyard, the Van Asperens have long term contracts with growers in Rutherford and the St. Helena foothills including Robinwood, Swanson, Talcott, Korte, Negus, Bloch and Corbett.
