Rutherford Ranch

Cabernet Sauvignon 1997 (Napa Valley)

Tasting Notes

Robust and delicious, this classic Cabernet sings with lively fruit flavor. Plum, black cherry and blackberry flavors form the core while surrounded by aromas of spicy black cherries, currants and plums. A hint of oak lends sweetness to this wine very solid finish. Easy to enjoy as soon as you take it home.

Comments from the Winemaker

1997 produced an early bumper crop of fruit that was of excellent quality. From the start of fermentation, intense varietal characteristics were apparent and carried through the entire aging process.
