Fermented in stainless steel tanks with a long maceration. Half of the wine was aged in small Bordeaux oak barrels for 8 months followed by 6 months of bottle ageing. Bottled in October 1997. |

Beautiful purple rim and dense, deep garnet core. In the mouth, spice and vanillin are evident with hints of pepper. The ripe tannins are integrated, producing a well-balanced and very approachable wine. Can be drunk now or cellared for several years. |
