Production:

The grapes were hand-picked at the peak of their maturity. They were then destalked, crushed, and fermented in stainless steel tanks, where the maceration took place.

Maturation: The wine was kept in stainless steel tanks.

Colour: Intense ruby red colour.

Aroma: Distinct varietal aroma, reminiscent of red berry and blackcurrant.

Taste:

Well balanced front of the palate, sumptuous and fruity with a sweet edge, and a whisper of vanilla and toast. A clean, classic varietal wine with a slightly astringent finish.

Suggestions:

Drink within 2-3 years for maximum enjoyment. Serve between 15–16ºC. Delicious with cheese souffle, pizza, a meat fondue, red meats, and the quintessential Chilean snack – the "empanada".

1997 vintage received "Seal of Approval" at The International Wine Challenge, London 1999.

1995 vintage won "Bronze Medal" & "Outstanding Value" at The International Wine & Food Society, WINPAC 1997, Hong Kong.
