"I am happy to report that the 1997 (90 points) and 1998 (90+points) Ailes d'Argent are the two finest efforts yet produced. There are approximately 10,000 bottles of this blend of nearly equal parts Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. The 1997 possesses slightly more Semillon, and the 1998 more Sauvignon. Both vintages display tremendous fruit, earthy/mineral terroir qualities, and unmistakable character. Both are capable of lasting for at least a decade. It is thrilling to see the improvements made with this limited production white wine."
