Winemaker’s comments:

This blend consists of 70% French wine from Chateau Capion, the make up is a combination of Syrah, Carrignan, Grenache, Cinsaut, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. No wood maturation was given. 30% Saxenburg wine was added, a blend of Cinsaut, Cabernet Franc and Tinta Barocca, which was matured for 6 months in wood.

A wine with a deep ruby red colour, and a very interesting flavour of maraschino cherry fruit, a bit of smokiness, a touch of forest and herbs, but also a nice ripe character. The taste is medium-full, smooth with soft tannins, well-balanced and still a fresh fruity finish. It can mature for some years but is made and blended to be enjoyed as a young wine.
