Quinta do Noval lies in the Douro Valley in Northern Portugal – one of the few remaining places of wild and unspoilt beauty in Europe. The vineyards that produce the grapes for Port wine cling to steep hillsides in the winding valleys of the Douro River and its tributaries. Great Port has been produced in the heart of this region by Quinta do Noval since 1715.

Quinta do Noval is unique among traditional Port shippers in that our operations are based here in the Douro. This means that our Ports age in the barrel in a giant cellar carved into the hills below the vineyards, and also that our wines are bottled in and dispatched from the region. At Noval the vineyard is at the heart of everything we do.

Recent investment in a new winery and an extensive program of replanting has allowed us to combine the best of the new with century old traditions which have made Quinta do Noval one of the region’s greatest names.

Quinta do Noval is perhaps best known for its majestic Nacional Vintage Port – the rarest and most sought after Port in the world. But our entire range of Ports carries the guarantee of the Noval name – seal of the finest quality Port for centuries.
